Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturing business that is looking to strengthen its engineering team with an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer. This is a great opportunity to join a stable site with modern machinery and a strong focus on reliability and continuous improvement.

As a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving plant reliability through effective planned and reactive maintenance.

Key responsibilities include:

• Carrying out mechanical maintenance, fault finding, and repairs on production machinery

• Working on pumps, gearboxes, bearings, conveyors, hydraulics, and pneumatics

• Supporting PPM schedules and responding to breakdowns efficiently

• Assisting with machinery installations and improvement projects

• Ensuring all work is completed in line with health & safety standards

• Working closely with electrical engineers and production teams

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer within a manufacturing or industrial environment

• Strong mechanical fault-finding skills

• Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics

• Able to work independently and as part of a team

• Relevant mechanical qualification (NVQ / City & Guilds / Apprenticeship) preferred
