Salary: £59,000 per annum (including 35% shift allowance) + bonus (up to 15%)
Shift: 3 on 3 off (Days and Nights)
Job RoleThe Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for planned and reactive maintenance on fully automated, high-speed production lines within a leading FMCG manufacturing environment. The Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer will work on state-of-the-art equipment including tetra packaging lines, PET bottling lines, and high-speed canning lines producing up to 120,000 cans per hour, offering excellent exposure to advanced automation and PLC-controlled machinery such as Allen Bradley and Siemens S7. The Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer will play a key role in fault finding, continuous improvement, and supporting production performance, while also receiving ongoing training and development opportunities. This Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer role offers excellent career progression within a growing national manufacturer investing heavily in engineering capability and future expansion.

Non-Negotiable Requirements of Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer-
Must hold a Level 3 NVQ (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering or Maintenance Engineering

Must have experience working as a Maintenance Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, or Multi Skilled Engineer in a manufacturing or production environment

Must have strong mechanical fault finding and maintenance experience

Must have experience working on industrial machinery

Experience carrying out planned and reactive maintenance

Strong fault finding and diagnostic skills on mechanical systems

Experience working in fast-paced production environments

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings

Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, bearings, belts, pumps, and mechanical components

Strong problem-solving skills and proactive maintenance approach

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Multi-skilled experience including electrical fault finding

Experience working with PLC systems such as Allen Bradley or Siemens S7

Experience within FMCG, food, beverage, or packaging environments

Welding experience

Knowledge of continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, or Six Sigma

Experience with high-speed automated production lines
