Job Description
- Assemble packaged plant rooms and skid assemblies to engineering drawings and project specifications.
- Read and interpret P&ID drawings, General Arrangement (GA) drawings, CAD drawings and 3D models.
- Fabricate and install ferrous and non-ferrous pipework to a high standard.
- Operate pipe threading machinery, crimping tools and associated workshop equipment safely and effectively.
- Install pumps, pipework and mechanical systems in line with industry best practice.
- Carry out air and hydraulic pressure testing where required.
- Work safely at height, following all Health & Safety procedures and company standards.
- Support the delivery of production schedules while maintaining high quality standards.
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure projects are completed efficiently and on time.
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter within Building Services, HVAC or a similar engineering environment.
- Ability to read and interpret CAD drawings, P&ID drawings and 3D models.
- Experience working with ferrous and non-ferrous pipework.
- Competent in the use of pipe threading machinery, crimping tools, hand tools and power tools.
- Strong knowledge of pipe fitting techniques and installation methods.
- Experience installing pumps and associated mechanical systems.
- Knowledge of G3 installation requirements is desirable.
- Experience carrying out air and hydraulic pressure testing.
- Comfortable working at height when required.
