Job Description

Mechanical Engineer Building Services and Industrial Projects (BH-2942-2)

Location: Waterford, Ireland (Co Cork, Co Tipperary, Co Waterford & Co Limerick)

Sector: Engineering

Salary: €55,000 - €65,000 per annum plus benefits and long term career progression

Key Responsibilities

Ensure all mechanical works comply with industry standards, client specifications, and safety requirements
Prepare bills of materials and support procurement of mechanical components and systems
Coordinate fabrication activities with workshop teams to maintain programme targets
Carry out inspections across materials, fabrication, and installation of piping and steelwork
Work closely with site teams to ensure installations are completed to specification and quality standards
Attend client meetings and provide technical support throughout project delivery
Prepare progress reports and assist with planning and cost control
Maintain accurate project documentation across all stages of delivery
Collaborate with design, QA/QC and site teams to ensure smooth project execution
Travel to fabrication facilities and project sites as required across Munster

Qualifications

Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline
Experience working on piping, steelwork or mechanical installation projects
Strong understanding of fabrication processes and mechanical systems
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Navisworks or similar 3D modelling software
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
Strong communication skills with the ability to work across teams and with clients
Well organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Proactive and hands on approach with a strong focus on quality and delivery
