Job Description
Mechanical Engineer Building Services and Industrial Projects (BH-2942-2)

Location: Waterford, Ireland (Co Cork, Co Tipperary, Co Waterford & Co Limerick)

Sector: Engineering

Salary: €55,000 - €65,000 per annum plus benefits and long term career progression

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure all mechanical works comply with industry standards, client specifications, and safety requirements
  • Prepare bills of materials and support procurement of mechanical components and systems
  • Coordinate fabrication activities with workshop teams to maintain programme targets
  • Carry out inspections across materials, fabrication, and installation of piping and steelwork
  • Work closely with site teams to ensure installations are completed to specification and quality standards
  • Attend client meetings and provide technical support throughout project delivery
  • Prepare progress reports and assist with planning and cost control
  • Maintain accurate project documentation across all stages of delivery
  • Collaborate with design, QA/QC and site teams to ensure smooth project execution
  • Travel to fabrication facilities and project sites as required across Munster
Qualifications
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline
  • Experience working on piping, steelwork or mechanical installation projects
  • Strong understanding of fabrication processes and mechanical systems
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Navisworks or similar 3D modelling software
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work across teams and with clients
  • Well organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Proactive and hands on approach with a strong focus on quality and delivery
