Mechanical Design Engineer

Role: Mechanical Design EngineerType: Full Time, 37 hours per weekSalary:Up to £65k p/a (Pro-rata) on a 6-month FTCHours: Mon-Thurs: 7:30am-6:00pm and Fri: 7:30am-3:30pmLocation: Cheltenham, GloucestershireOwen Daniels have partnered with a leading manufacturing company and we are recruiting for a Mechanical Design Engineer due to growth in the business.Mechanical Design Engineer - Key responsibilities:

• Develop, cost-effective mechanical designs that are safe to build, test and maintain, ensuring suitability for purpose.
• Produce mechanical components and assemblies, including 3D CAD models and fully detailed 2D manufacturing drawings.
• Manage materials and components, compile parts lists, and maintain accurate data.
• Collaborate with colleagues and external partners to refine designs, meeting agreed deadlines and contributing to reports and meetings as required.

Mechanical Design Engineer - Essential Skills & Experience:

• HNC Mechanical Engineering or Higher
• Proven track record in mechanical design engineering
• Strong understanding of GD&T and material properties
• Fully competent in SolidWorks
