We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our multi-disciplinary team, working on innovative engineering projects from concept through to production. This role involves the design, development, and testing of mechanical systems, ensuring high performance, reliability, and manufacturability.

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our multi-disciplinary team, working on innovative engineering projects from concept through to production. This role involves the design, development, and testing of mechanical systems, ensuring high performance, reliability, and manufacturability.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead or support mechanical design projects, managing your own output and collaborating across engineering, manufacturing, and testing teams.
- Capture and translate requirements into practical engineering solutions.
- Design and develop mechanical subsystems, applying principles of structural integrity, materials selection, and systems integration.
- Apply design-for-manufacture techniques for both prototype and production environments.
- Manage and coordinate with suppliers to meet technical and delivery requirements.
- Conduct and support subsystem and system-level testing, documenting results and driving improvements.
- Maintain configuration control and produce technical documentation in line with project needs.
- Present at technical reviews and contribute to project planning and delivery.
- Proficient in 3D CAD (SolidWorks or equivalent).
- Strong understanding of mechanical system sizing and first-principles engineering.
- Experience with prototype and production manufacturing processes.
- Ability to prepare technical reports and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
- Systems engineering experience across the full life cycle.
- Hands-on experience with rapid prototyping tools and composite materials.
- Familiarity with configuration/document management tools.
- Experience with mechanical systems integration and testing.
- Self-motivated, with a collaborative and solutions-focused approach.
- Eligible to work in the UK, with the ability to meet security clearance requirements.
