Mechanical Design Engineer required for a well-established manufacturer of special purpose machinery based in the Aldershot area. Due to ongoing success, they are seeking a capable Design Engineer to join develop engineering and assembly drawings for machinery.
Mechanical Design Engineer Job Overview- Design bespoke mechanical assemblies and systems using Autodesk Inventor (preferred), producing accurate 3D models and detailed manufacturing drawings.
- Carrying out load calculations and structural analysis
- Specifying components including bearings and motors
- Working closely with electrical, production and control engineering teams
- Supporting the assembly, testing and commissioning of machines
- Maintain technical documentation and create bill of materials
- HND or degree qualified within a Mechanical Engineering related subject
- Practical experience within a Design Engineering role
- Proficient with 3D modelling software such as Solidworks or Autodesk Inventor
- Based in a commutable distance of Aldershot
- Monday to Friday, full-time, permanent position
