Mechanical Design Engineer

Purpose of the role?

At CSI, We are experiencing an exciting phase of growth. The purpose for this role is as a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, is to be responsible for designing, analyzing and improving mechanical systems, components and processes.

Within the mechanical field, you will provide leadership to other engineers across multiple projects, many of these may be from our other sites across Europe. You will be delegating mechanical tasks to other engineers and conduct design review meetings.

Additionally, we would expect you to be innovative & contribute positively to the continuous improvement of our engineering teams. besides technical proposals, we would expect you to suggest ways to reduce our costings in production, service, maintenance & energy consumption.

Responsibilities

• Estimate the required project house based on the technical specifications
• Prepare drawing packages and assembly drawings in a timely, complete and high quality manner based on the technical specifications
• ensure the accuracy of the mechanical design in all phases of the project
• collaborate with other engineers to achieve project goals, including providing feedback on designs and solving technical challenges.
• Document all aspects of the design and development process, including specifications, drawings, test results and modifications, ensuring traceability and aiding in problem solving in later project phases.
• Conduct analysis to evaluate the performance, reliability and safety of mechanical systems including strength calculations, simulations and stress analysis to ensure our designs meet our customers requirements.
• Ensure all mechanical designs comply with required quality standards.
