About Diamond

Diamond Light Source is the UK's national synchrotron; a huge scientific facility designed to produce very intense beams of X-rays, infrared and ultraviolet light. Our scientists use the light to study a vast range of subject matter, from new medicines and treatments for disease to innovative engineering and cutting-edge technology.

Now is an exciting time to join Diamond as we are currently at the early stages of a major upgrade of the facility. Diamond-II will combine a new machine and new beamlines with a series of upgrades tooptics, detectors, sample environments, sample delivery capabilities and computing, this will continue to build-on Diamond's world-class position, and enable us to continue to deliver brilliant science, tackling some of the most challenging scientific questions of the 21st century.

About our Engineering Opportunities

Over the coming weeks, we will be looking for further talented Engineers to help deliver Diamond-II.

Senior Mechanical Project Engineer - Salary circa £50 - £60k

Senior Electrical Project Engineer - Salary circa £50 - £60k

Electrical Design Engineer - Salary circa £40 - £45k

Mechanical Design Engineer - Salary circa £40 - £45k
