Mechanic

Your new company
A well-established motor vehicle company is looking to expand their team and is currently looking for a permanent Motor Mechanic /Vehicle Technician. You will be responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing a wide range of vehicles to a high standard, ensuring all work meets company quality and safety expectations.

Your new role

You will be required to:

• Carry out routine servicing and maintenance on all vehicle types
• Diagnose faults using diagnostic equipment and manual inspection
• Perform mechanical repairs including brakes, suspension, clutches, timing belts, and engine work
• Prepare vehicles for sale to a retail-ready standard
• Complete job cards and record all work accurately
• Conduct vehicle inspections and report additional work required
• Ensure all work is completed efficiently and within agreed timeframes
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workshop environment
• Follow all health and safety procedures and company policies.

What you'll need to succeed

You will be required to have:

• Proven experience as a motor mechanic or vehicle technician
• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent)
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding ability
• Good knowledge of modern vehicle systems
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• High attention to detail and pride in workmanship
• Full UK driving licence
