We are delighted to share a rewarding opportunity with the Carrick on Suir Meal Assistance Service. They are looking for friendly volunteers to help deliver meals to clients living in and around Carrick on Suir.
About the ServiceCarrick on Suir Meals Assistance Service was formed in August 2018 following the winding up of the former Carrick on Suir Meals on Wheels group. The service is a vital part of the community, ensuring the most vulnerable receive nutritious meals and social contact. Meals are prepared in the Community Hall and deliveries are made Monday to Friday.
Role SummaryThis role is all about making a difference in someone's day. Volunteers will come to the centre in Carrickbeg between 11.30am and 1pm to collect a freshly prepared meal, then deliver it to an elderly person in and around Carrick. Along with the meal, the visit offers a chance for a quick check in and a friendly chat, a small gesture that means a lot.
ScheduleThe service operates Monday to Friday.
Requirements- Must have own transport.
- Friendly and chatty.
- Over 18.
Minimum time commitment: Undefined, but expected to cover 4 hours weekly, typically in the afternoon. Volunteers may work on any day from Monday to Friday.

- Supervision.
- Initial induction and training.
