Job Title: GCSE Maths & English Tutor Liverpool and St HelensLocation: Liverpool and St Helens (community-based or in-home sessions)Pay Rate: GBP25 per hour (starting rate)Job Type: Part-Time Flexible HoursStart Date: March 2026About the RoleProspero Teaching is seeking an experienced and passionate GCSE Maths & English Tutor to join our team in Liverpool and St Helens, starting in March 2026. This role involves delivering 1:1 GCSE Maths and English lessons to students in the area. Its ideal for a tutor who can adapt their teaching style to meet individual learning needs and help students build confidence, improve subject knowledge, and achieve academic success.Key Responsibilities:Deliver tailored GCSE Maths and English lessons, adjusting content and pace to suit each student's unique learning style.Help students develop subject knowledge, study skills, and boost exam confidence.Create a safe and supportive learning environment while building positive rapport with students.Monitor progress and provide regular, constructive feedback to parents/carers or other professionals.Prepare and implement structured learning plans, including a therapeutic approach where appropriate.Essential Requirements:Minimum 1 year of experience teaching or tutoring Maths and/or English.Right to work in the UK.Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).Ability to work independently and manage flexible schedules.Desirable Qualifications:QTS or PGCE in Secondary Education.Experience working with learners with SEN (Autism, ADHD, SEMH).Additional Information:Sessions typically take place during school hours, with occasional after-school or evening opportunities.Prospero Teaching will provide resources and regular progress monitoring to support your work.This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in a students educational journey and ensure they achieve their academic goals.Interested?Apply today or send your CV to
