Job Description

The Master Technician is responsible for overseeing the efficient, safe, and high-quality completion of all tasks. This role involves advanced technical skills and leadership, working closely with the Centre manager to optimise workflows and ensure customer satisfaction.

About the role General Responsibilities
  • Lead and mentor a team of technicians, providing guidance, training, and support.
  • Undertake tasks and manage workflow to ensure timely and efficient completion of all work.
  • Ensure all work is carried out to the highest standards and in compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Monitor and manage inventory, ordering parts and supplies as needed with the AM/CP.
  • Promote and maintain Health & Safety procedures, regularly training and supporting both new and existing employees.
  • Manage and assist with customer complaints alongside the Customer service advisor and the Customer Care Manager.
  • Inspect and quality control completed work to ensure it meets required standards and specifications.
  • Manage stock requirements, including periodic audits/inventories.
  • Maintain and calibrate tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition.
  • Communicate at high levels with the Area Manager to ensure deadlines are met and customers are satisfied.
  • Assist in the pricing of repairs and communication to the customer when required.
  • Conduct thorough quality checks of all work and seek support when required.
  • Carry out any additional reasonable tasks as requested by the AGM or other senior management.
Qualifications
  • Level 3 vehicle technician qualification.
  • At least 3 years experience as a vehicle technician in the auto trade.
  • Diagnostics training and experience.
  • Full Driver's Licence.
  • Experience in complex repair work.
