Job Description

Marketing Officer (New programmes and professional training)

Full time (35 hrs/wk), permanent

Split place of work between Horizons (Reading, Berkshire) and Home

Salary range £30,000 to £32,000 pa plus benefits

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Marketing Officer to support across our busy Marketing team and Professional Training team. Working collaboratively, you will support the development and execution of marketing plans for new programmes, working closely with the Academic team to understand new courses and target audiences. You will coordinate multi-channel marketing campaigns, create engaging content for digital advertising, and support with the production of podcasts, blogs, videos, and brochures.

Your accountabilities and responsibilities include:

  • Support market research and competitor analysis to inform the marketing approaches for new programmes and products
  • Collaborate with the Head of Commercial to develop and implement marketing strategies for professional training and short courses
  • Develop and manage SEO optimised content for programme and product website pages
  • Track campaign performance using analytics tools and prepare regular reports

Our main requirements:

  • GCSE Maths and English language Grade C or 4 or above
  • Experience in a similar role
  • Knowledge of SEO, PPC, and CRM/email marketing platforms (e.g., DotDigital)
  • Knowledge of campaign planning and execution
