Marketing Coordinator - Restart Scheme

Location: Solihull (Hybrid - flexible travel to Birmingham, Coventry, Bromwich approx. once a week)

Contract: 3-month initial contract, potential temp-to-perm

Start Date: ASAP

Hours: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Day Rate: £150-£200 per day (umbrella)

Travel: for site visits; mileage and expenses claimable for non-mandated locations

About the Role

We're looking for a proactive and creative Marketing Coordinator to join Serco's Employment, Skills & Training (EST) Marketing Team. This role supports the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) Restart Scheme across the West Midlands, helping people back into work and showcasing the positive impact of the programme.

You'll work in a fast-paced environment where flexibility and initiative are key. If you love creating engaging content, organising events, and collaborating with stakeholders, this role is for you.

What You'll Do

  • Create on-brand marketing collateral and video content using Canva or external agencies.
  • Deliver a content plan aligned with Serco's marketing strategy.
  • Write and publish case studies, success stories, social posts (LinkedIn), and email content.
  • Organise in-person events and webinars; manage logistics and stakeholder communications.
  • Design marketing materials via Canva and liaise with design agencies.
  • Create video content for social media and employer engagement campaigns.
  • Communicate with employers about job vacancies and programme benefits.

Essential Skills & Tools

  • Canva (essential)
  • Microsoft Dynamics
  • Email marketing platforms
  • Strong copywriting and proofreading skills
  • Ability to create content for multiple channels and audiences
  • Event coordination experience (virtual and in-person)
  • Social media management experience
