Blue Legal is recruiting for a Market Development Specialist on behalf of a leading professional services firm. This role focuses on planning and delivering strategic client-facing events that support business development and marketing objectives. Working closely with practice groups, industry teams, and the London and Dublin offices, the successful candidate will manage projects from concept to completion, driving initiatives that strengthen client relationships and generate new business opportunities.
The Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement marketing strategies, business initiatives, and client engagement projects.
- Plan, coordinate, and deliver client events, including managing mailing lists, producing collateral, arranging logistics, and providing on-site support.
- Support practice groups and lawyers with marketing, business development, and client relationship activities.
- Maintain and update practice group contact databases.
- Draft, edit, and proof marketing materials such as brochures, presentations, letters, event invitations, and biographies.
- Manage an events calendar and ensure timely communication to stakeholders.
- Research venues and event formats, manage sponsorship deliverables, and support event logistics.
- Assist with public relations activities to promote the firm's brand and reputation.
- Coordinate trade organisation memberships and permissions for marketing material reuse.
- Contribute to process improvements and best practices within the marketing team.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the firm to deliver firm wide marketing initiatives.
The Candidate:
- Degree in Business, Marketing, or related discipline.
- Proven experience in business development or marketing within legal or professional services.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to lead initiatives and meet deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence engaging senior stakeholders.
- Experience delivering high-quality client events and marketing campaigns.
- Proactive, detail-focused, and able to manage multiple priorities.
