Manufacturing Operative (Syrup Room) - Full Time Ballymena

The Role:

• £12.75 per hour day shift
• £14.66 per hour night shift
• Rates reviewed following successful completion of the 3-month trial period
• Full-time, permanent position
• 4-week rotating day and night shift pattern

Duties:

• Blend ingredients to produce bulk syrup batches in line with manufacturing instructions
• Follow recipes and production instructions accurately to ensure consistent product quality
• Carry out syrup testing, quality checks and approvals
• Complete manual handling duties, including lifting bags weighing up to 25kg and moving materials
• Return raw materials to storage while maintaining full traceability
• Maintain accurate batch production, monitoring and usage records
• Minimise product waste and maintain high standards of housekeeping
• Follow all health & safety, hygiene and PPE requirements
• Identify and report production or quality issues promptly
• Work closely with the Syrup Room Lead and wider production team to ensure production schedules are achieved

Criteria:

• Previous experience within a manufacturing, production or operational environment
• Physically fit and able to safely lift 25kg bags
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Basic maths skills
• Good attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Proactive, reliable and able to work effectively as part of a team
• Flexible to work a rotating day and night shift pattern
