Job Description

  • MES Implementation Engineer
  • Manufacturing processes experience
We are looking for a MES Implementation Engineer, who will be responsible for implementing Manufacturing Execution System (MES) solutions for clients primarily in the food processing and manufacturing sectors, but also across non-food industries.

Technical Skills
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, ideally within food processing or packaging.
  • Knowledge of:
    • Industrial communication protocols (OPC UA, MQTT, Modbus, etc.)
    • Networking basics and data integration between shop-floor and cloud systems
    • Databases (SQL) and data visualization tools (Power BI or similar)
    • Microsoft Azure cloud environment and services
  • Practical experience with system configuration, testing, and troubleshooting.

Candidate & Experience
  • 2-5 years of experience in MES implementation, industrial automation, manufacturing IT, or process engineering roles.
  • Hands-on experience with manufacturing systems integration (ERP, SCADA, PLC, IoT, or similar).

Key Responsibilities.
  • Analyse and document clients manufacturing and operational processes.
  • Capture production line setups, machinery used, and system integrations.
  • Identify operational challenges, bottlenecks, and key improvement opportunities.
  • Translate business needs into MES system requirements and configurations.
2. System Setup and Configuration
  • Work with Back Office team to create new client environments in Microsoft Azure.
  • Configure system components and establish connections between:
    • MES core system and IoT/edge devices
    • Client machines and control systems (PLC, SCADA, etc.)
    • Third-party systems such as ERP, WCS, or quality management tools
  • Define and configure functional elements:
    • Product and machine definitions, OEE categories, shift patterns, dashboards, users, roles, etc.
  • Conduct thorough system testing, validation, and troubleshooting prior to go-live.
3. Implementation & Client Support
  • Deliver on-site and remote training for end-users and key client personnel.
  • Provide post-implementation support, resolving technical and functional issues.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between clients and internal product/development teams for enhancement requests or bespoke development needs.
  • Support continuous improvement of implementation methodology and documentation.
