The Manufacturing Engineering Manager role will be based at HydraForce Hydraulics in Birmingham, England.
Job Description- Lead the engineering team to achieve high engagement, promote resilience, diversity, and high performance.
- Identify resources needed for projects, assign responsibilities, and monitor progress.
- Act as an internal liaison across departments to ensure project requirements are met.
- Provide technical leadership and make robust decisions on complex engineering issues.
- Manage the daily operations of all projects.
- Implement lean processes to streamline operations and reduce waste.
- Develop project plans and track deliverables using appropriate tools.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within manufacturing.
- Report on project progress to stakeholders, including issues and solutions.
- Ensure quality standards are maintained as a gatekeeper.
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives and coach others in ongoing improvements.
- Coordinate with relevant personnel to introduce new products using the company's Advanced Product Quality Planning process.
- Degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
- Experience leading engineering teams in an international business environment.
- Broad technical experience with knowledge of engineering approaches.
- Experience in Hydraulics is preferred.
- Background in change management.
- Excellent communication skills across all levels and cultures.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects effectively.
- Proactive issue resolution skills.
- Effective influencing skills to lead and motivate teams.
