Are you an experienced Manual Grinder with a background in precision engineering looking to join an established manufacturing business where you can utilise your skills on high-precision components?
On offer is a hands on position within a precision engineering environment, working with manual grinding machinery and producing components to tight tolerances, with the opportunity to develop your skills further.
This established company specialise in the manufacture of precision engineered components and are now looking for an experienced maunal Grinder to join their production team and play a key role in maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy.
The day to day of this role includes setting and operating manual universal grinding machines, carrying out cylindrical, internal and external grinding, reading engineering drawings, dressing grinding wheels and making machine adjustments to achieve required tolerances. You will also carry out inspections using precision measuring equipment including micrometers, bore gauges, dial indicators and verniers.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience operating manual universal grinding machines within a precision engineering environment, with the ability to work accurately to tight tolerances and confidently interpret engineering drawings.

- Monday to Friday, day shift

- Proven experience operating manual universal grinding machines
- Precision engineering experience
- Competent using micrometers, bore gauges, dial indicators and verniers
- Experience with a range of steels, alloys and hardened materials
- Strong attention to detail and quality focus
- Based in South Birmingham or surrounding areas
