Job Description
Overview 
Hanson Wade is looking for a meticulous and proactive Manual QA Engineer to join the Beacon team. You'll be responsible for ensuring that every release of the Beacon platform meets the highest standards of quality, usability, and reliability.
As part of an Agile delivery team, you'll collaborate with developers, Product Owners, and the Scrum Master to design and execute test plans, identify bugs, and advocate for quality throughout the development lifecycle. This role is ideal for someone with around five years of hands-on QA experience who thrives on problem-solving and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities- Design, document, and execute manual test cases for web-based applications.
- Validate new features, bug fixes, and releases across multiple environments.
- Collaborate with developers and product teams to ensure test coverage and acceptance criteria are met.
- Perform regression, functional, integration, and exploratory testing.
- Log and manage defects through tools such as Azure DevOps or Jira, ensuring timely resolution.
- Participate in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives as part of the Agile team.
- Support the continuous improvement of QA processes and documentation.
- Ensure product releases meet user expectations for performance, usability, and stability.
- Around 5 years of experience in a manual QA or software testing role.
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, test case design, and defect management.
- Experience testing web-based or SaaS products.
- Proficiency with tools like Azure DevOps, Jira, or TestRail for test and defect tracking.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a strong commitment to quality and continuous learning.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, comfortable working with cross-functional Agile teams.
- Basic knowledge of API testing or SQL for database validation.
- Familiarity with automation tools or willingness to learn test automation frameworks.
- ISTQB certification or similar QA qualification.
