Managing Pharmacist - Artane

Position Overview

Managing Pharmacist at Allcare O'Reilly's Pharmacy in Artane. 40 hour permanent role. Store hours 9a.m. 7p.m. Monday Saturday, closed Sunday. Team includes an Assistant Store Manager, one Relief Pharmacist and two Technicians.

Responsibilities

• Strictly observe statutory regulations relating to the supply of medical products as per the Pharmacy Act 2007.
• Maintain the community pharmacy to a professional standard.
• Participate in Health Promotion and Pharmaceutical Care implementation.
• Partake in Continuing Education Programs for professional development.
• Implement policies and procedures introduced by Allcare Pharmacy and standard operating procedures.
• Ensure proper stock control, correct receipt and documentation of goods and services for the dispensary.
• Responsible for the security of stock, property, keys and safety of staff and customers with the pharmacy Manager.
• Observe Health and Safety of Work Act details and ensure staff adherence.
• Maintain confidentiality of business details, no disclosure without approval from Allcare Pharmacy.
• Carry out procedures for Department of Health schemes such as DPS, LTI, GMS, ensuring monthly submission and reconciliation.
• Support pharmacy manager in ensuring retail standards, category management, merchandising and stock control.
• Keep up to date with changes to legislation and PSI practice guidance.

Qualifications, Experience & Skills

• 1 2 years as a Supervising Pharmacist is highly advantageous.
• Member of the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland with a minimum of 3 years post registration experience.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Highly organised with proven ability to work on multiple tasks accurately in a busy environment.
• Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
