Your mission
One of your most important challenges as Managing Director of Technology is to lead and develop our technical product portfolio in close collaboration with the R&D and Product Management Directors. You will be responsible for the technical direction, innovation, and quality of our products. You will also coordinate product development, optimization, and launch to ensure market-driven and future-oriented solutions. Additionally, you will ensure that the technical solutions meet customer requirements, quality standards, and regulatory requirements. You will promote a culture of innovation and identify new technologies that can be integrated into the product portfolio, working closely with internal and external partners to utilize technological synergies and strengthen competitiveness.
Some of your other main responsibilities include:
- Promoting technological innovations while incorporating the latest trends (e.g., AI/ML, IoT, predictive maintenance).
- Ensuring technological competitiveness and IP strategy.
- Coordinating closely with sales, marketing, and customers to ensure customer-centered product development.
- Initiating and managing digital projects for process optimization, new business models, and data-driven services.
- Coordinating external development teams, including performance monitoring, budgeting, and contract negotiation.
You have an academic background in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, computer science, or a related field. In your many years of professional experience, likely in a management role in product development or technology management, you have ideally worked in the field of condition monitoring or a related technology. You have a proven track record in a similar environment and have held leadership responsibilities. Furthermore, you possess comprehensive technical expertise in sensor technology, data analytics, machine learning, AI, IoT, and software development. Your excellent communication skills in German and English, along with your ability to recognize early technological trends and incorporate them into corporate strategy, complete your profile.
