Job Description

Responsibilities
  • Lead operational excellence of the Lending function; manage and develop the Lending team, ensuring smooth day to day operations and high performance.
  • Drive efficiency by reviewing and improving workflows and processes to reduce friction and enhance productivity.
  • Embed automation by implementing and optimizing technology solutions to reduce manual decisioning and intervention points.
  • Champion compliance by ensuring lending processes meet FCA Consumer Duty principles-fair value, transparency, and ethical decision making.
  • Inspire change by engaging teams, empowering the Junior Lending Manager, and fostering a culture of adaptability and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate cross functionally with Product, Tech, and Compliance to deliver scalable, automated solutions.
  • Monitor performance by defining KPIs for automation success, efficiency, and team utilization; report on progress and risks.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in lending operations or customer experience leadership within a regulated environment.
  • Strong understanding of FCA Consumer Duty and risk management principles.
  • A track record of process transformation and technology adoption.
  • Exceptional leadership skills-able to inspire, coach, and drive cultural change.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to turn data into actionable insights.
