1 About the Role

As a Manager of Software Engineering, you will lead and develop a team of software engineers responsible for delivering high-quality products and platform capabilities. Working closely with product, project, and engineering partners, you will provide technical leadership, support the successful delivery of software solutions, and foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing team environment.

Responsibilities

• Working closely with cross functionals teams, to deliver new capabilities and improve upon existing capabilities
• Managing your team, including interviewing, hiring, planning, assigning, directing work, appraising performance, and giving appropriate feedback
• Monitoring and reporting on technical progress against plans
• Acting as an acknowledged go-to person on coding and technical issues
• Driving and implementing process improvements
• Monitoring and reporting on technical progress against plans

Requirements

• Have experience in a software engineering role as part of a product or platform delivery team
• Have substantial Software Engineering experience
• Have experience of managing Software Engineering Teams
• Have experience in staff resourcing and management, including partnering and offshoring resourcing models
• Be able to demonstrate excellent organizational skills when dealing with multiple priorities, able to think analytically
• Be a natural problem-solver and able to take a lead in collaborating to resolve issues
• Have excellent communication skills and the ability to convey information clearly to a wide audience
• Be very proficient in database technology, design and manipulation, optimization, and best practice
