Location: London

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review detailed claim analyses, technical narratives and HMRC submission documentation, ensuring claims are robust, well evidenced and compliant.
• Lead client interactions to identify, assess and document qualifying R&D activities, including analysing technical and financial data to quantify eligible expenditure.
• Analyse and structure complex datasets, ensuring accurate identification and allocation of qualifying costs.
• Manage engagement risk and support clients through HMRC enquiries, ensuring defensible positions are maintained.
• Communicate complex R&D concepts clearly to clients, including the impact on their broader tax position.
• Lead and mentor junior team members, delegating effectively while ensuring deadlines, budgets and quality standards are met.
• Oversee multiple engagements and contribute to business development and client relationship growth.

Qualifications

• Prior experience working on Research and Development Tax Credit engagements.
• Advanced degree.
• Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Ability to simultaneously work on several projects and effectively manage deadlines.
