Job Description

This opportunity is part of the Global Cyber Security (GCS) Team, where our mission is to embed cybersecurity culture into McDonald's DNA to fortify the system against cyber threats through proactive defence, relentless innovation, and strategic collaboration. This Manager level role will be part of GCS and Global Technology, focusing on Communications and Operations for the organization.

The Manager, Operations Excellence (Communications) will report to the Director, Operations Excellence and will be responsible for managing leadership communications, driving organizational change management activities, and supporting operational governance across our Global Cyber Security organization. This position will be based in London.

Accountabilities & Responsibilities:
  • Support market communications for the team, including market deployment change management and communication plans.
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity and market stakeholders to support end-user enablement and communications to segment and market leadership.
  • Lead the development and execution of comprehensive communication and partner engagement strategies.
  • Provide timely input to leadership scripts, narratives, and talking points.
  • Develop materials for leadership meetings, conversations, and events.
  • Advise and influence team members on effective communication strategies, identifying advocates, change agents, gaps, barriers, and measurement strategies.
  • Identify innovative ways to engage audiences through content and approaches.
  • Support team performance management processes and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Assist in executing staff surveys and action planning.
  • Manage operations management practices for the team.
  • Enable effective change management, motivate internal change, and act as an ambassador of change.
  • Establish governance for documentation and knowledge sharing repositories.
  • Develop business routines and operational processes.
  • Align team practices with overall ways of working.
  • Coordinate with center teams, markets, segments, and partners to optimize collaboration.
  • Partner with peer OpEx Managers in GCS and Cyber Market Engagement team for consistent communication strategies.
  • Support the Director of Operations Excellence as needed.
Skills & Experience Required:
  • Extensive experience in business, technology, communications, change management, or related fields.
  • Knowledge of organizational practices including operations management, HR, and leadership communication.
  • Experience supporting organizational change and building team and organizational culture.
  • Cybersecurity and technology background preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with technical teams and translate technical language for business audiences.
  • Skill in designing and implementing standard processes.
  • Ability to navigate complex teams and deliver tangible outcomes.
  • Understanding of business practices, governance, and organizational processes.
  • Proficiency in process optimization, modeling, and improvement.
  • Structured yet flexible approach to organizational needs and technological changes.
  • Proven success in delivering creative communication programs aligned with business objectives.
  • Comfortable presenting and leading discussions to large audiences.
  • Experience working with diverse teams across different environments.
  • Educational background and professional experience demonstrating strategic partnership and implementation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Office 365, Teams, SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote). Familiarity with Smartsheet and other digital tools is a plus.
