About this Role

Convergence seeks a Manager for its European division, dedicated to expanding its presence and influence within the continent. The role involves engaging with various stakeholders, including government entities, development finance institutions, private investors, and philanthropies across Europe. The Manager will play a pivotal role in nurturing existing relationships and creating new partnerships, especially focusing on mainstream investors and the standardization of private investment mobilization models. This position will be based in London, UK, or Amsterdam, Netherlands, and requires collaboration with a global team. The selected candidate will be expected to promote and represent Convergence's mission, driving growth by understanding and sharing its value propositions. This includes developing and managing institutional relationships, supporting new partnerships, and delivering training programs in the realm of blended finance.

Responsibilities
  • Manage institutional member relationships focusing on strengthening engagement and retention.
  • Identify potential mainstream investor members across Europe and engage through industry conferences.
  • Support multi-stakeholder initiatives led by European partners.
  • Onboard investors and deal sponsors, ensuring maximum platform utilization.
  • Develop marketing and briefing materials for member pipeline development.
  • Become an expert on Convergence's platform to support stakeholders.
  • Manage and support the execution of virtual and in-person training programs.
  • Identify and foster research opportunities with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain open communication with cross-functional teams.
  • Support new strategic initiatives and project management as required.
Requirements
  • Passion for increasing investment in low and middle-income countries for SDG and climate projects.
  • Masters or Bachelor's degree in business, economics, finance, or related field with strong academic record.
  • 7-10 years of relevant experience in development finance or related fields.
  • Must possess a work permit in the UK or Netherlands.
  • Creative and strategic thinker with robust project management skills.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Interest in private sector participation/development finance in emerging markets.
  • Experience in blended finance and investment mobilization is preferred.
