Job Description

The Manager Enrolment will lead the planning and delivery of voter enrolment activity across their region for the 2026 General Election. Working closely with the Director Enrolment and Team leads you will oversee operational readiness, workforce planning, processing accuracy, and timeliness, and the smooth running of enrolment services across your region. The main task of the role is to ensure your enrolment teams have the people, tools, guidance, and support they need to deliver a high-quality experience for voters.

Starting March 2026 this is a fixed term role until December 2026.

The salary for this role is $127K-$141K

What you'll be doing
  • Leading enrolment operations and readiness activities.
  • Providing clear direction, guidance, and support to regional enrolment teams.
  • Overseeing the induction, training, and workforce allocation for enrolment services.
  • Ensuring national standards, policies, and processes are consistently applied.
  • Monitoring performance, identifying risks, and coordinating timely resolution.
  • Working collaboratively with internal partners to ensure end-to-end delivery aligns with wider election operations.

You bring strong leadership capability and thrive in complex, fast-moving environments. You can quickly understand operational systems and processes and enjoy supporting others to deliver high-quality outcomes. You are calm under pressure, adaptable, and able to navigate the demands of a large national event. Experience in leading operational teams, leading leaders and delivering large-scale programmes of work in a complex environment, is highly valued.

What you'll need to succeed
  • Proven leadership experience across large and complex operational, service delivery, or programme settings.
  • The ability to build strong relationships and provide guidance across geographically dispersed teams.
  • Strong planning and organisational skills, with experience managing complex workflows.
  • Sound judgement and decision-making in dynamic, time-sensitive environments.
  • High-level communication skills, with the ability to translate information into clear guidance.
  • Experience contributing to operational excellence, process improvement, or large-scale event delivery.
  • The ability to quickly learn new systems and tools.

The Enrolment Team is responsible for the maintenance and integrity of the Parliamentary electoral rolls, through the processing of applications for enrolment, and updates to current enrolments including Unpublished and Provisional Rolls. We also deliver enrolment functions associated with the Māori Electoral Option.
