Management Accountant

You'll support the Finance Director directly and take ownership of management accounting across a group of 14 companies. This role suits someone confident, organised, and experienced in multi entity accounting, fixed assets, and fleet related finance

Description

Key Responsibilities

Management Accounting

• Prepare monthly management accounts across multiple entities
• Ownership of journals, accruals, and prepayments
• Maintain and reconcile fixed asset registers
• Support cost centre reporting and monthly packs

Fleet & Fixed Assets

• Manage accounting for a fleet of 6,000 vehicles
• Handle HP agreements and associated accounting
• Ensure accurate tracking and reporting of fixed assets

Statutory & Financial Reporting

• Assist in drafting statutory accounts
• Support year-end processes and external audit

Systems & Process

• Work with Accounts IQ (new system implementation)
• Use strong IT skills to streamline reporting and processes

Profile

• Strong management accounting background
• Confident with fixed assets, journals, and multi-entity reporting
• Experience drafting statutory accounts
• IT-savvy and comfortable with new systems
• Able to work independently and take ownership
• Strong communicator who can work closely with the FD
