Job Description
- Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports for the Care & Support department.
- Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end financial processes.
- Conduct variance analysis to support decision-making and identify financial trends.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to stakeholders within the organisation.
- Monitor income and expenditure to ensure alignment with organisational objectives.
- Support the implementation of financial controls and compliance processes.
- Assist in grant and funding applications with accurate financial data.
- Collaborate with other departments to achieve overall financial goals.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Management Accountant - Care & Support should have:
- A recognised accounting qualification (e.g. ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
- Experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Knowledge of the Care & Support responsibilities within the Social housing sector and its financial requirements.
- Proficiency in using accounting software and MS Excel for financial analysis.
- Strong analytic skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate financial insights clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
