    We are looking for a Full-time Maintenance Fitter to join our team in Shannon, Co Clare

    Hazchem experience is mandatory for this role

    Working pattern: Monday to Friday, 39 hours per week.

    Main duties and responsibilities

    • Using and maintaining specialised machines and tools.
    • Assembling components so they are ready for installation.
    • Reading and interpreting project plans, while coordinating with the labour crew for efficient installations.
    • Performing MIG, TIG and other types of welding methods depending on the project.
    • Finding and fixing faults in pipework.
    • Carrying out planned maintenance checks and responding to emergency calls.
    • Conserving resources wherever possible to ensure budgetary integrity and client satisfaction.
    • Carry out PPMs on equipment as required.
    • Carry out fault resolution and repairs to broken down equipment, while maintaining records.
    • Assist in the installation of new plant and equipment.
    • Ensure any training deemed necessary is completed within the agreed timeframe.
    • Sourcing and stocking of spare parts as required to ensure minimum stock levels are maintained in accordance with client requirements.
    • Compliance with Health and Safety and legislative requirements and report any accident, incidents and out of place findings.
    • Removal of waste IBCs - minimum two times per week.
    • Acid deliver - on demand.
    • Responding to pump derprimes/run issues.
    • Decontaminating and rebuilding of diaphragm pumps.

    Qualifications and experience

    • Plumbing Senior Trades or Diploma in a relevant engineering discipline.
    • Experience in the following areas - Utilities / Facilities.
    • Formal training / certification in any of the above.
    • At least 3 years' relevant experience.
    • Basic computer knowledge essential.
    • Proven track record in Preventative and Reactive Maintenance in a similar environment.
    • Excellent communication, organisation and problem solving skills.
    • Must be extremely flexible.
    • Must be physically fit as this can be a demanding role
