Maintenance Technician - Nightshift

We are currently seeking an experienced Equipment Maintenance Technician / Mechanical Technician to join a busy Night Shift Maintenance Team within a highly automated manufacturing environment.

12-Hour Shifts - 3 days week one, 4 days week two.

This role would suit a hands-on technician who enjoys troubleshooting, fault-finding and keeping production equipment running efficiently. Working as part of the night shift team, you'll have an important role in maintaining equipment performance, responding to breakdowns and identifying opportunities to improve reliability and minimise downtime.

What You'll Be Doing

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical and electronic equipment faults
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and production issues during night shift
• Carry out planned and preventative maintenance
• Identify recurring faults and implement practical solutions
• Work to minimise equipment downtime and maximise production output
• Support equipment installations, set-ups, modifications and refurbishments
• Record maintenance activities, downtime and corrective actions
• Complete effective shift handovers and communicate outstanding equipment issues
• Work closely with Production and Engineering teams to improve equipment performance
• Support continuous improvement projects focused on reliability, cycle times, quality and yield
• Assist with spare parts management and equipment failure analysis
• Provide technical support to Operators and other members of the team

About You

We're looking for someone who is comfortable working independently on night shift and has a strong practical approach to problem-solving.

You should ideally have:

• 1 to 5years' maintenance/technician experience within an automated or high-volume manufacturing environment
• A recognised trade qualification, Certificate or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering or a related technical discipline
• Strong mechanical and/or electrical fault-finding skills
• Experience troubleshooting automated production equipment
• A proactive approach to breakdowns and preventative maintenance
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to prioritise and remain calm when dealing with production-critical equipment issues
