You shouldn't supervise a maintenance team? No, you will supervise a maintenance team working across electrical, mechanical, and facility support, ensuring high standards in quality, productivity, and safety. This is a shift-based role (6am-2pm and 2pm-10pm) and reports to Industrial Engineering regarding ongoing projects, significant equipment concerns, and people or system updates. The role fosters accountability and encourages proactive problem solving.
Key Duties and Responsibilities- Lead and oversee the daily activities of the maintenance team
- Organise team tasks to maximise efficiency and workflow
- Support team members with troubleshooting and skill development
- Maintain open communication with various departments as needed
- Monitor and enhance workplace safety processes
- Keep accurate records of shift activities and resolve non-conformances
- Ensure all work meets quality expectations in a safe, tidy environment
- Experience in a similar foreman or team lead role, ideally in a manufacturing environment
- Recognised qualification as an Electrician or in Mechanical Automation and Maintenance Fitting
- Excellent communicator; computer literate
- Track record with quality and health & safety standards
- Self-motivated, driven, able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Flexibility to engage in training or meetings outside standard hours
- Normal colour vision and ability to complete manual tasks
- Strong teamwork, initiative, and organisational skills
