Role DescriptionAs a Maintenance Plumber you will provide technical support across the Wythenshawe Hospital estate, helping keep building services running safely, compliantly and efficiently. You'll deliver a mix of reactive repairs and planned work, completing jobs to a high standard and supporting a safe environment for patients, visitors and staff.
Responsibilities- Maintain safe operation of plant and equipment across the hospital estate.
- Carry out repairs, new works, servicing, installation, maintenance and testing of building services systems.
- Work to company/client procedures and statutory compliance, including H&S, safe systems of work, hygiene/cleanliness, fire safety and COSHH; promote a safe and healthy environment across the site.
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) and good building services knowledge.
- Strong maintenance experience: fault finding, diagnosing issues, reading drawings and repairing equipment.
- Organised approach with the ability to keep pace and meet deadlines.
- Clear communication, a positive attitude and a team first mindset.
- Comfortable working both as part of a team and independently, staying calm under pressure. Healthcare or large site experience is useful, but not essential.
