This summer we're opening Ómós - a 16-bedroom guesthouse and 40-seat restaurant set on 4.2 acres just outside the heritage town of Abbeyleix, County Laois.
The name Ómós - meaning honour, duty, and respect - reflects our intention behind the project: to create something lasting and meaningful, something with soul. Our Maintenance Person will bring his/ her expertise and play a key role in ensuring our facilities are maintained seamlessly across our property.
Reporting into our Assistant Manager, this person will be hardworking, experienced, dependable, proactive and hands-on, with high standards of workmanship, ideally in a luxury property.
Requirements- Strong practical skills including basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general repairs
- Good problem-solving ability and the ability to work independently
- A professional and discreet manner when working around guests
- Flexibility to work occasional weekends or evenings if required
- Full driving license
- Carrying out day-to-day maintenance and repairs across our property, ensuring compliance with all health and safety, electrical and fire regulations.
- Performing preventative maintenance to ensure the smooth operation of all facilities and coordinating with external contractors when required
- Maintaining outdoor areas; supporting our Gardeners and Landscapers when required
- Assisting with annual projects such as property improvements and refurbs
