Maintenance Operative

Matrix Recruitment are partnering with are clients for a Maintenance Operative in Waterford.
Thisa hands-on position where your skills in keeping things running smoothly are valued. You willjoin an established team in a residential environment. If you enjoy varied work and like the idea of creating a safe, well-kept space for people, this could be the role for you.
You'll be responsible for a wide range of upkeep and repair duties, reporting to the relevant person in charge and working closely with the team on site. The job includes a variety of tasks each day, and you'll need to be flexible to cover different shifts, including some evenings and weekends.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Carry out regular maintenance checks and address issues as needed
• Complete general repairs, painting, decorating, and cleaning throughout the premises
• Manage gardening and keep outdoor areas tidy
• Handle waste disposal and ensure bins are clean and maintained
• Work with contractors as required and oversee maintenance contracts
• Adhere to health, safety, and fire regulations at all times
• Respond to emergencies and incidents, updating records accurately
• Support the team during inspections and audits

What Are We Looking For?:

• Valid certificates in Infection Control, Manual Handling & Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults (or willingness to complete training)
• Solid experience in general maintenance duties
• Full Irish Driver's Licence
• Ability to undertake physical work and operate tools safely
• Reliable, safety-focused, and professional approach
