Our client is a leading multinational nutrition and food manufacturing business with a large-scale production facility based in Co. Cork. As part of a global group, the site places a strong emphasis on operational excellence, continuous improvement, and developing its people, making this a fantastic opportunity for an experienced maintenance professional to step into a senior leadership position.
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of maintenance professionals to build a high-performing, engaged workforce.
- Take ownership of preventative, predictive, curative, and improvement maintenance activity across the site.
- Build and manage the annual maintenance and energy budget, controlling costs against agreed targets.
- Drive down energy consumption and the site's overall carbon footprint through efficient maintenance planning.
- Oversee spare parts inventory and procurement, sourcing new suppliers and optimising stock levels.
- Track work orders and maintenance KPIs, using data analysis to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement, applying structured problem-solving methods to eliminate recurring issues.
- Manage safety performance across both internal maintenance staff and external contractors.
Criteria
- A proven track record of at least 2 years leading or managing a maintenance or production team in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment.
- A relevant third-level engineering qualification, or a recognised, standards-based apprenticeship.
- Strong working knowledge of maintenance management systems and CMMS platforms.
- Practical experience applying Lean and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex process data.
