Your new role
We are seeking an experienced and reliable Maintenance Joiner to join a busy maintenance and refurbishment team operating across the East Belfast area. This is an excellent long-term opportunity for a skilled tradesperson looking for stable work within a well-established maintenance programme.The successful candidate will carry out a range of joinery repairs, installations, and maintenance works across residential and commercial properties. You will be expected to work independently and as part of a wider team, delivering high-quality workmanship while ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a professional standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out all aspects of maintenance joinery.
- Repair and install doors, frames, skirting and architraves.
- Undertake kitchen fitting and associated joinery works.
- Complete repairs to flooring, fencing, partitions, and timber structures.
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance works.
- Identify defects and recommend appropriate repairs.
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of completed works.
- Provide excellent customer service when working in occupied properties.
What you'll need to succeed
Essential Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 in Joinery (or equivalent qualification).
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Joiner.
- Strong background in reactive and planned maintenance.
- Valid CSR Card.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively.
- Good understanding of health and safety procedures.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Flexible approach to work and willingness to undertake a variety of maintenance tasks.
Desirable Requirements
- Experience working within social housing, planned maintenance, or response maintenance environments.
- Multi-skilled maintenance experience.
- Additional trade skills such as plastering, tiling, or general building maintenance.
