Maintenance Fitter/Fabricator

Our client is a premier Agri-Business based in Wexford. Due to the current and projected growth of the business we are now seeking an experienced Maintenance Fitter / Fabricator to join the maintenance team onsite.
Reporting to the Maintenance Team Lead this is a diverse position with strong development opportunities and will suit candidates who enjoy maintaining and repairing machinery, equipment and infrastructure.

YOUR NEW JOB

• Diagnose mechanical faults and perform timely repairs
• Carry out welding on agricultural machinery, trailers, gates, and structural components
• Conduct preventative maintenance to minimise breakdowns
• Fabricate and modify parts to meet operational needs
• Read and interpret technical drawings and plans
• Maintain tools, workshop equipment, and a safe working environment
• Support general farm maintenance in consultation with Maintenance Teamlead.
• Compliance with all health and safety regulations and food safety standards.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR

• Completed Mechanical Engineering or Fabrication apprenticeship.
• Proven experience as a Fitter, Fabricator, or similar role
• Strong welding skills (MIG/TIG/Stick)
• Good mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting ability
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Physically fit and comfortable working indoors and outdoors
• Full Category B driving licence (essential)
• Fluent in English

Desirable Skills

• Experience with agricultural or heavy plant machinery is an advantage.
• Knowledge of electrics
• Experience in a farming or food production environment
• Trailer maintenance and fabrication experience
