Maintenance Fitter (2 shift rota)

Location: Co. Waterford

Our client is a leading food manufacturing company in Waterford who areseeking an experienced, trades-qualified Maintenance Fitter to join the maintenance team. Having experienced significant growth over the past 18 months, the company continues to invest in its people, facilities, and production capabilities, making this an exciting time to join the business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out mechanical maintenance on production equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical faults to minimise downtime.
• Perform preventative maintenance in line with maintenance schedules.
• Install, modify, and commission machinery and equipment.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance plant reliability and efficiency.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with company and food industry standards.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and work closely with production teams to maximise equipment performance.

Requirements:

• Recognised Mechanical Fitter/Fitter trade qualification.
• Previous hands on maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally within the food or FMCG sector.
• Strong mechanical fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience working with conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, bearings, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative maintenance team.
• A proactive approach with a strong commitment to health and safety.

Salary : €60k + 20% shift allowance
