Job Description
Are you a hands-on engineer who enjoys solving technical problems, building machinery, and working directly with customers? We're looking for a Sealer Support Technician to join a growing specialist manufacturing business. This is a varied role combining workshop-based engineering with customer site visits across the UK, giving you the opportunity to develop your technical expertise while working on innovative packaging machinery. The Role
As a Sealer Support Technician, you'll be responsible for supporting customers, assembling and maintaining sealing equipment, carrying out calibrations and repairs, and assisting with the continuous improvement of machinery and processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Build, assemble and test sealing machinery from technical drawings.
- Carry out equipment calibrations, servicing and repairs both in-house and at customer sites.
- Manage spare parts stock levels and complete regular stock checks.
- Support customers with technical enquiries via phone and email.
- Assist with the development and improvement of packaging machinery and production equipment.
About You
We're looking for a practical and organised engineer with strong technical knowledge and excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Apprenticeship-trained engineer or qualified to HNC/HND level in a relevant discipline.
- Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and PLC systems.
- Ability to read and work from technical drawings.
- Strong communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
- Competent using Microsoft Office and maintaining technical records.
