Job Description
We are partnering with a well established manufacturing business based in Thetford that is looking to strengthen its engineering team with the addition of an electrically biased Maintenance Engineer. This is a key position within a high volume, fast paced production environment, with a strong focus on equipment reliability, continuous improvement, and minimising downtime.

Shift Pattern: 4 on/4 off
Salary: £48,451

The Role
This role goes beyond day to day maintenance. As a Maintenance Engineer, you'll play an active part in electrical improvement and upgrade projects, helping to enhance machine performance, safety, and long term reliability across the site.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across production equipment
  • Fault find and diagnose electrical issues, including PLCs, drives, control panels, and automation systems
  • Support and deliver electrical projects such as machine upgrades, control modifications, installations, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Contribute to reliability and efficiency improvement projects across the site
  • Work closely with production teams to minimise downtime and disruption
  • Maintain high standards of health, safety, and compliance at all times
About You
  • Electrically qualified (NVQ Level 3, HNC, or equivalent)
  • Strong electrical fault finding and diagnostic capability
  • Experience working on electrical projects within a manufacturing environment
  • Background in manufacturing or FMCG environments (desirable)
  • Basic mechanical knowledge
  • Reliable, proactive, and a strong team player with a hands on approach
