Overview

NES Fircroft are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer for our client, who are a lead industrial user of additive manufacturing.


Job Details

Job title: Maintenance Engineer
Location: Worcester
Contract position
Pay rate: £28/hour
Shifts: 7am-3pm Mon-Fri


Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance on machinery, equipment, and systems.

  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults and carry out timely repairs.

  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.

  • Collaborate with production and operations teams to minimize disruption.

  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.

  • Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment.

  • Monitor inventory of spare parts and tools, and coordinate procurement as needed.

  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and suggest process enhancements.


Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer or similar role.

  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and control systems.

  • Ability to read technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.

  • Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) is a plus.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

  • Relevant technical qualification (e.g., HNC/HND, NVQ, or equivalent in Engineering or related field).


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in industry-specific experience, e.g., manufacturing, food processing, pharmaceuticals .

  • Certification in health and safety (e.g., IOSH, NEBOSH) Advantageous

  • PLC troubleshooting and programming knowledge.


Working Conditions
