Job Description
We are seeking a highly capable Multi-Skilled Engineer to join a high-performance maintenance and engineering team supporting mission-critical air-cargo handling systems at Liège Airport, one of Europe's fastest-growing logistics hubs. You will play a key role in ensuring maximum equipment uptime and smooth operational flow across automated systems such as conveyors, scanners, and sorters.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs on mechanical and electrical systems.
- Troubleshoot faults on automated cargo handling and conveyor systems.
- Perform inspections, adjustments, lubrication, and part replacements.
- Work with PLC-controlled systems and support electrical fault-finding (low-voltage).
- Maintain documentation and report technical findings to the engineering supervisor.
- Support commissioning and upgrades of new or modified equipment.
- Follow health, safety, and airport security standards at all times.
- Collaborate with OEM suppliers, airport operations teams, and project engineers.
Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 / HNC / Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
- Proven experience in a multi-skilled role within logistics, aviation, or automated environments.
- Competent in fault finding and repair across mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
- Ability to read mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.
- Familiarity with Siemens or Rockwell PLC environments is a plus.
- Fluent in French and English - mandatory.
- Flexible to work shifts and weekends as part of a rotating schedule.
- Airport clearance eligibility (clean criminal record, EU work permit if applicable).
