Noel Group is proud to represent a well-established animal feeds manufacturing operation based at its Feed Mill Co. Roscommon, for the appointment of a Maintenance Electrician.

This position represents an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic candidate to work within one of Ireland's leading multi-disciplined co-operative environments. The successful candidate will be part of a close-knit Maintenance team, reporting directly to the Site Maintenance Manager.

The Feed Mill in Ballaghaderreen is a long-established business first founded in 1979. It has a very strong customer base and has experienced continued growth over the last number of years. Employing over 40 people, it is a key and stable employer in the local region and offers a fantastic opportunity to join the team and play a key role in its future journey.

Key Responsibilities

  • Integrate as part of the Maintenance team to deliver support for operations.
  • Carry out all work keeping safety, quality, and output to the fore.
  • Deliver, with other Maintenance team members, a reliable centred maintenance function with best practices including preventative maintenance.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance data and close out assigned work using the CMMS.
  • Install new electrical circuits containment and take part in commissioning processes.
  • Repair and replace electrical equipment.
  • Take responsibility for electrical inventory.
  • Install, maintain, and calibrate industrial instrumentation equipment and related devices.
  • Carry out periodic testing of electrical circuits.
  • Participate in onsite lean initiatives.
  • Be available for callout in breakdown situations.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • National Craft Certificate.
  • Mechanical knowledge and experience working with pneumatics and hydraulics.
  • Knowledge of PLC controls is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Previous experience within a high-volume food manufacturing environment is an advantage.
  • Experience using a CMMS.
  • Knowledge of repair and fault finding.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
