Maintenance Electrician

Maintenance Electrician - Dungannon £20/hr (£40K/annum)

5 days a week (Will include some weekends. Shifts discussed at interview stage)

• Undertake electrical maintenance cover for production to ensure that breakdowns and other issues are resolved promptly, and downtime is minimised.
• Utilise system to ensure that all Active Maintenance work is logged, recorded and closed.
• Utilise the Maintenance Request Data Base to ensure that all Reactive Maintenance work is logged, recorded and closed.
• Undertake project work through from installation to commissioning to ensure changes are implemented to the plan and refined if necessary.
• Provide technical support within the engineering department, to other operational departments and external contractors to ensure that the best solutions are identified and implemented.
• Attend and contribute to team meetings which drive departmental performance in order to support continuous improvement and sustainability initiatives.
• Follow all site rules relating to health & safety, environment and quality to ensure that we remain compliant with all legislation and internal procedures.
• Safe dismantling of machines, performing checks and assisting breakdowns
• Conducting weekly energy readings and reporting back to management on any issues
• Conduct daily risk assessments on workstations, machines and production floor and reporting any maintenance requirements in line with health and safety regulations
• Aid with lock out tag out system
• Conduct an effective shift hand over to Team Leaders and Management
• Conduct effective PAT testing and report any issues/concerns to line management under Fire Safety
• Regulations N.I. and the health and safety regulations
• Waste Reduction Efficiencies

The Criteria:

• Electrical Qualification or Time served
• Previous maintenance experience - preferably within Food Manufacturing
• Knowledge of mechanical maintenance is desirable
