A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A MAINTENANCE ASSISTANT AT AC HOTEL BY MARRIOTT GLASGOW

• Ensuring the hotel's facilities, rooms and equipment are in excellent condition by performing routine maintenance and repairs
• Conducting regular inspections to identify and resolve any potential issues related to plumbing, electrical, HVAC and general building upkeep
• Responding promptly to guest requests and maintenance issues to ensure their comfort and satisfaction
• Collaborating with the hotel team to support a smooth guest experience and address any maintenance concerns
• Maintaining cleanliness and organisation in the maintenance areas, ensuring all equipment and tools are stored safely and appropriately
• Keeping accurate records of work orders and maintenance tasks completed
• Adhering to all health and safety standards, as well as hotel specific policies and procedures

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

• Strong attention to detail - ensuring everything is functioning properly to provide the best experience for guests and staff
• Practical experience - previous experience in hotel or facilities maintenance, or a relevant trade qualification is a plus
• Problem solving skills - resourceful and able to tackle a variety of maintenance issues efficiently and effectively
• Flexibility - adaptable, able to work shifts, including early mornings and weekends as needed
• Team player - thrive in a collaborative environment and enjoy helping others
• Positive attitude - proactive approach and work well under pressure
• Physical stamina - role requires manual work, including lifting, carrying and general physical tasks
