Job Description

Caretaker - Thatcham £26,000 - £27,500

We're looking for a reliable, hands-on Caretaker / Maintenance Assistant to join a busy estates team, playing a key role in keeping the site safe, secure and running smoothly day-to-day. This is a varied, practical role with real responsibility and no two days the same.

Hours: Option 1: 1:30pm - 9:00pm Option 2 (rota): Week 1: 1:30pm - 9:00pm Week 2: 10:30am - 6:00pm

As the Caretaker / Maintenance Assistant, you will be responsible for:
  • General maintenance and minor repairs
  • Opening/closing the site
  • Daily pool testing
  • Site security checks + CCTV monitoring
  • Acting as Fire Officer
  • Supporting events, set-ups and site logistics
  • Responding to out-of-hours/emergency issues
The succesful Caretaker / Maintenance Assistant will have the following skills / experience:
  • Caretaker/maintenance experience
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Practical, proactive and able to work independently
  • Strong awareness of health & safety
  • Flexible with hours (including on-call when needed)
