DescriptionConquest House is located in the village of Farcet, Peterborough. The home offers residential support for 15 males and females who have a primary learning disability diagnosis, who may also be on the autism spectrum. We are in a semi-rural location, set in large country grounds.
Our dedicated team are passionate about helping the people we care for to lead lives that are as independent as possible. We want to provide our residents with the highest quality support enabling them to build on their skills, live more independently, and reach their goals.
What you'll be doingYou'll be part of a dedicated and compassionate team, all working together to ensure the smooth running of the service and to support the wellbeing of our residents. While your role doesn't involve providing direct care, your contribution is vital in helping to maintain a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for everyone.

As part of our dedicated and compassionate team, you'll play a key role in keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes. While this isn't a direct care role, your work makes a real difference to the wellbeing of our residents and staff - creating a safe, comfortable, and homely environment for everyone.
What you'll be doing:
- Every day will be varied, drawing on your multi-skills to:
- Carry out general maintenance, repairs, and DIY tasks.
- Keep our sites safe, well-presented, and welcoming.
- Tackle jobs from painting, decorating, and wallpapering through to plumbing (fixing leaks, changing taps) and putting up furniture.
- Spot and report any issues that need attention and take action to put things right.
- Work alongside a supportive team to make sure everything meets quality and safety standards.
Our work is rewarding but can be challenging, so resilience is key. No two days are the same! Your natural empathy will help you support others through both the highs and lows.
We're after someone who is:
- Practical, hands-on, and confident with general DIY.
- Skilled across a mix of areas such as painting, decorating, carpentry, plumbing, or general repairs.
- Organised and detail-focused, with the ability to prioritise tasks.
- Happy to work independently but also a great team player.
- Friendly, approachable, and motivated by making a positive difference.
